Probably the most realistic of the 1899 stories here. Very good, though it could have been more pointed if you had given names to the guys doing the beating.
that made me cry. what they did to jack. he was always so proud. the line about a god forced to bow was just so hard hitting. i can't believe that they would do that to him. he was always their leader. poor jack. i wish people would still write about the newsies. if u get this, i just want to say you did an excellent job on this.
